Chromium doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Cr4 +: YAG)
Cr4 +: YAG passive Q-switch has the characteristics of low cost, small size and light weight because of its simplicity of operation and production.
As a Q-switch, it is widely used in diode pumped Nd: YAG, Nd: YLF, Nd: YVO4 and other lamp pumped Nd or Yb doped lasers with wavelengths of 0.8-1.2um.
Because of its stable chemical properties, long service life, UV resistance, good thermal conductivity and high damage threshold (> 500MW / cm2), it will replace ordinary Q-switched crystals (LIF and dye crystals) as a new Q-switched laser crystal.
